“As an artist, it is not only my task to record the reality of this horrible disease, but more importantly, to bring it to a greater place of light.  A light, which illuminates the human spirit.  It is my goal to capture the unique qualities that each woman brings to this life.  A strong reminder, that we are much more than the sum of our bodies.  We are Hope.  We are Courage.  We are Inspiration.  We are Love.  And Love, stands as the greatest healer of all.  It is my heartfelt desire, that my imagery radiates a Love that will begin to heal these scars.   Please approach these images with gentle eyes and take the time to seek the beauty that quietly lingers beneath the surface.  There is more within than meets the eye.”

“I have a quiet, gentle place in my being where I go when strength, understanding, kindness and survival are needed.  There I found what I thought I had lost.  Me.”

“I  have always felt that the Earth is crammed with Heaven.  After completing chemo therapy and radiation, my hair returned, and I moved from Pennsylvania to California.  I was in a state of fulfillment, metamorphosis.  Similar to a  butterfly emerging from a chrysalis, I was fragile, vulnerable, yet filled with a new life energy.      Being an artist, I expressed my journey of treatment through a series of masks and shields, symbols of protection.”
