The vision of ONE in eight is to launch a traveling photography exhibition.   The collection ultimately will feature eight visionary women photographers across the country who will each contribute eight portraits to this exhibition. These sixty‐four images will represent a cross‐section of faces and experiences. Most significantly, the subjects have all agreed to allow their breast cancer scars to be visible in the photograph .
Provocative and beautiful, playful and personal, the ONE in eight portraits  celebrate life after cancer.
These extraordinary ONE in eight  women have inspired their friends and family with their bravery.   Yet, having endured strenuous cancer treatment, they have also been challenged with issues of identity, self-worth, femininity and sexuality.
But beauty is not about the separate pieces of a woman’s body.  It is about her inner beauty, her strength and spirit.
ONE in eight is a change in the way we see breast cancer.
ONE in eight asks the question,
“Will you give your breast to cancer?”

One in eight women most certainly will.
“You tried to dim my light but I'm still shining”
